description

The California Local Voting Coalition is hosting a virtual funder briefing on the growing movement to end the political exclusion of immigrants and expand voting rights in local elections across California and beyond.

This briefing will feature a panel discussion with funders and local champions, case studies from Oakland, San Jose, and Santa Ana, and opportunities to ask questions and engage in dialogue with people and organizations on the leading edge of this work.

The coalition brings together eight organizations from across California: Amigos de Guadalupe Center for Justice and Empowerment; Chinese for Affirmative Action (CAA); GO Public Schools Oakland; Harbor Institute for Immigrant and Economic Justice; National Immigration Project; Services, Immigrant Rights and Education Network (SIREN); Uniting Parents of Pasadena (UPP); and VietRISE.

We hope that you will join the briefing to explore how philanthropic partners can meet the moment and support efforts to ensure a more thriving and inclusive democracy.
