This site visit will take participants to nearby Dearborn, Michigan, the city with the highest percentage of Arab Americans in the United States. We will be hosted for our visit by ACCESS (Arab Community Center for Economic and Social Services), the largest Arab American community nonprofit in the United States, with services spanning the metro Detroit region. In addition to learning about the pillars of ACCESS, including the National Network for Arab American Communities (NNAAC), the Center for Arab American Philanthropy (CAAP), and the Center for Arab Narratives (CAN), participants will be treated to an exclusive tour of the Arab American National Museum (AANM), the first and only museum in the United States devoted to recording the Arab American experience.
