In the wake of a vehemently anti-immigrant federal administration, there was great hope for significantly advancing immigrant justice under a new administration. While some progress has been made, backlash from state legislatures and recent actions taken by the current administration, such as expelling Haitian migrants and failing to release immigrant detainees during a worldwide pandemic, continue to negatively impact communities. In this context, advocates and community leaders are implementing a wide range of strategies–both c3 and c4–at the local, state, and national levels to realize a more just and equitable vision for America.
