Description
Please join Napa Valley Community Foundation, Silicon Valley Community Foundation and the League of California Community Foundations for a luncheon training facilitated by Grantmakers Concerned with Immigrants and Refugees on how North Bay philanthropy, nonprofits and businesses can engage in the 2020 Census. Getting the census count right is critical to making sure our government works for everyone – it will shape our nation’s democracy, public policy and economy for the next decade. In fact, census data informs how the federal government allocates roughly $800 billion annually in key investments such as transportation, education and workforce development resources and determines Congressional apportionment as well as redistricting at the state and local level.
We hope to use this opportunity to identify how to best leverage our resources and advocacy and provide education, training and technical assistance to ensure a complete and accurate count of all people living in California on the 2020 Census.
