California Immigrant Integration Initiative 2018 Quarter IV Meeting

California Immigrant Integration Initiative Quarter IV Meeting
Thursday, December 6, 2018 -
10:00am to 1:00pm PST
Multiple Locations
San Francisco - Los Angeles - Remote

California voters elected a new governor, chose dozens of new state and federal representatives, and approved a wide variety of new initiatives in the midterm elections. Meanwhile, the state continues to feel the repercussions of punitive federal immigration policies, including a recent change that has caused a new crisis at the San Diego-Mexico border by stranding hundreds of unprepared asylum seekers and migrants at local bus stations.

Join this meeting to hear from experts on how this new crop of elected officials and legislation will impact the state’s immigration landscape. Participants will receive a recap of relevant election results and immigration-related litigation, including the recent ruling on DACA, and an update on groups of Central Americans fleeing violence in their home countries. Join your colleagues to discuss the impact and opportunities for our work in philanthropy.
