Californian funders have been channeling resources into reforming immigration efforts for years, yet the latest research shows that at a national level, Americans support more right-leaning policies than many realize. A large part of this is is because in California, 1 in 4 residents is an immigrant and and half the children in the state have a parent who immigrated to the States. So, how do we bring the realities of immigration to the national conversation?
Philanthropy California and Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC) have partnered together to deepen the conversation with California grantmakers and funders to help inform this national debate by organizing three regional “Policy Salons” on immigration reform across the state.
Join Northern California Grantmakers (NCG) to learn how the issue of immigration is being framed at a national level and to gain insight how California Grantmakers and funders are thinking about the short- and long-term strategies for moving immigrant rights and integration forward.
