Tipping Point Emergency Response: COVID-19

Friday, March 13, 2020

Today in the Bay Area, 1 in 5 people have less than $400 in savings. COVID-19 is only intensifying this financial strain due to loss in wages. For hourly workers, losing a shift can mean the difference of stable housing and eviction. Our grantees are already seeing the impact on the people they serve and are feeling the effects themselves.

For 15 years, Tipping Point has been a support system for the best non-profits working to break the cycle of poverty in the Bay Area. Our investments allow our grantees to put the dollars where they’re needed most, and today, they need us more than ever.

Our Response: $1 Million and Counting

Tipping Point is committing $1 million in addition to this year’s core funding to support our network of grantees working on the frontlines. In times of crisis, our community takes action and now is the time to rally together for those who were already struggling to make ends meet.

Join us today so our grantees can continue serving as a stable resource for our neighbors in this increased time of need. 100 percent of donations to Tipping Point go directly to its non-profits on the ground supporting vulnerable communities.

When disaster strikes, low-income communities are hit the hardest. States of emergency can mean non-profits are stretched thin while working to serve people who need it the most. With your help, we can provide additional support to our grantees who are on the frontlines serving our neighbors.
