Security and Healing: What Movement Leaders Need from Philanthropy

Standing up for immigrant communities has always presented the risk of xenophobic and racist backlash, but hate incidents against movement leaders have increased in recent years, fueled  by divisive political rhetoric. Whether online or in-person, threats to the safety, security, and well-being of organizations and their staff take a toll on leadership. In response, these leaders are incorporating healing and safety strategies into their operations.
