Ensuring a fair and accurate 2010 census count is critical for
vulnerable communities. This data will impact planning, government
funding, and political power distribution for the next decade, yet many
of the communities with the most need are at the greatest risk to be
undercounted. Census Bureau activities have already begun for the April
2010 count and now is the time for action to impact the census - one
inclusive of immigrant communities.

Grantmakers involved with the California Immigrant Integration Initiative (CIII) are holding a strategy session to:

1. Learn from colleagues who have experience funding the census
2. Discuss successful strategies as well as the challenges from previous
   counts
3. Identify opportunities for funding and possible coordination
   with one another
